Deep
Light’s 3D technology is an elegant solution to a fundamental
question: "How can we create a high-resolution 3D display that
does not require wearing special glasses?" Deep Light has successfully
created a ground-breaking display that can deliver images in both
3D and 2D, without the aid of special glasses.
The display is based on a simple concept. When seeing a 3D object
in real life, our eyes each take in a slightly different perspective
of the object, and our brain compares these two images in order
to create a single 3D picture. The deepLight 3D Display
simulates this phenomenon by projecting two different images to
the viewer’s eyes, each image a different perspective of a
3D scene. Under this condition, the viewer can perceive
the scene in 3D exactly as they would in real life. In addition, the
deepLight 3D Display actually projects several different
side-by-side perspectives of a scene to the viewing area. This allows
motion parallax, in which a viewer can see a 3D scene from different
angles by moving his/her head to the left or right.
Deep Light’s 3D display technology has the following advantages
over other 3D technologies:
- High Resolution:
Unlike flat-panel 3D technology, each view maintains full resolution
- High Brightness: Ideal for long periods of use
- SideBySide:
On larger displays, multiple programs can be simultaneously viewed in full-screen
- 2D/3D Compatibility:
The display is backward compatible with 2D content
- Scalability:
Multiple light engines can be used for an even higher number of
view
- Customizable:
Customers can order customized screen sizes or number of views
