| Welcome
to Deep Light
We produce a 25 inch,
high-resolution 3D display based on Texas Instrument's Digital Light Processors (DLP) that can be used in industrial, medical, government
and home applications. In the future, these displays will be available in a variety of sizes
and form factors. DeepLight displays are designed for
natural viewing without the need for special glasses.
Until now, users had to select between wearing glasses to see 3D images in high-resolution or using 2D flat panel displays that have been converted to 3D for viewing low-resolution 3D images without glasss. Deep Light combines the best of both alternatives and delivers high-resolution 3D images without glasses.
Already, there is a fast-growing market for 3D displays worldwide.
Existing customers include industrial and scientific professionals
such as oil engineers, architects, scientific researchers, and medical
technicians. Until now, however, high-resolution, 3D displays required users to wear
special glasses. This limitation often provides unpleasant side effects
(e.g. nausea) and difficulty working with existing 2D material.
The glasses-free DeepLight 3D display can dramatically
improve 3D visualization, thereby expanding existing markets and
creating new ones. Current users of glasses-based systems may wish to upgrade to a glasses-free
display that delivers high resolution, low cost and full backward
compatibility with 2D computer content. New users,
previously unable to use 3D due to limitations imposed by the glasses,
can now easily create exciting 3D applications. The DeepLight
3D display has wide applications in a variety of fields including:
retail, trade shows, theme parks, arcade game systems, new medical
applications, advanced military applications, homeland security
and numerous others.
As the following projections from iSuppli indicate, this
is an exciting time for 3D displays and Deep Light intends to grow
rapidly in this fast growing market.
iSuppli:
Non-governmental sales of 3D displays to more than quadruple
by 2010.
The emerging market for 3D displays is reaching a new stage
of maturity, one that will see sales to the private sector
rise to 8.1 million units in 2010, up by more than a factor
of four from 2 million in 2003, according to the latest
research from iSuppli/Stanford Resources. More..
